Origin: Made with 100% Australian grown Aloe vera leaves, from soils certified chemical free according to internationally recognised IFOAM Organic Farming Standard. It takes 100kg of the highest quality inner leaf fillets to produce 1kg of concentrated Aloe vera inner leaf gel powder.

The Science: Aloe vera gel, has been shown to increase collagen biosynthesis – effectively increasing the quantity and quality of collagen to enhance dermal wound healing.

In a study on 30 healthy females aged over 45, who supplemented either 1200mg/day or 3600mg/day of aloe gel for 90 days, the subjects experienced:
- Significantly decreased wrinkle volume
- Increased skin elasticity
- Increased quantity of procollagen

The OPTY.NC Difference: Clinical studies have demonstrated the ability of aloe polysaccharides to bind to the gut wall and enhance the absorption of Vitamins C, E and B12. We utilise this bioavailability enhancing property to support the synergistic effects of our GutRenew OptyBlend.

Origin: Made in Australia, to pharmaceutical standards, in a TGA-licensed facility.

The Science: Bacillus coagulans encourages a healthy microbiome and growth of other lactic acid producing bacteria in the gut (such as bifidobacteria). It can improve bowel function and reduce toxins in the bowel. It also helps to fight inflammation, supports immunity and improves the absorption of protein.

A study on 87 healthy females showed that supplementing one billion CFU of B. coagulans improved bowel function and reduced circulating toxins which resulted in a reduction in comedones (whiteheads or blackheads) in 72% of study participants.

Other studies have shown that reducing these toxins in skin can result in improved keratinocyte differentiation which is important for maintaining homeostasis of the epidermal structure. This can result in increased skin hydration and improve overall skin clarity.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Many probiotics on the market, though claiming to be shelf stable, have very high die-off rates in complex, powdered or food based formulations. B. coagulans is a spore-forming bacteria, meaning it lays dormant until it reaches the stomach acid, ensuring long term stability and product performance.

Origin: Made in the USA

The Science: Silica is an integral structural component of connective tissue and plays a crucial role in the formation of collagen and elastin fibres in the skin. Silica’s presence is essential for wound healing, tissue repair and new tissue generation. Silica has also been shown to increase hair follicle shaft diameter, and reduce brittleness of hair and nails.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Patent pending brown rice hull powder utilises naturally occurring silica in rice to provide a natural sustainable source for nutritional supplementation.

Origin: Our grapes are grown on the pristine South Island of New Zealand in accordance with Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand standards for the sustainable growing of wine grapes. We utilise seed that would otherwise be a waste product from the wine industry.

The Science: Grape seed extract is a potent antioxidant with multiple benefits within the body including the cardiovascular, immune and integumentary systems (an organ system consisting of the skin, hair, nails, and exocrine glands). These combine to ensure optimal delivery of nutrition to tissues, removal of cellular waste products and enhanced protection from the effects of reactive oxygen species.

Scientific studies have shown that grape seed extracts high in oligomeric proanthocyanins (OPC’s) – potent antioxidant compounds found in grape seeds:
- Support healthy circulation and improve endothelial function
- Improve capillary strength and microcirculation
- Strengthen the collagen matrix and improve collagen cross linking
- Inhibit degradation of collagen and elastin in the skin
- Support wound healing
- Enhance the protection of the skin against UVA/UVB

The OPTY.NC Difference: Our sustainably grown seeds are extracted from the fruit within 12 hours of harvest, then immediately processed using no chemical solvents (as are often used to produce grape seed extracts). The 100% water, low-temperature process extracts a broad range of phenolic antioxidant compounds and preserves the beneficial phytonutrients.

Origin: Our collagen is produced exclusively from deep sea cod skin (Gadus morhua), harvested from the crystal clear waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. This provides a pure source of high quality, natural collagen peptides, batch tested to be low in mercury and heavy metals. Our marine collagen peptides are sustainably and ethically sourced under MSC and SMETA guidelines.

The Science: From around 30 years old, our body’s ability to produce collagen diminishes, leading to visible signs of ageing skin. Marine collagen peptides stimulate the skin to produce increased levels of better-quality collagen and elastin for more resilient skin as you age.

Collagen peptides stimulate the skin to produce increased levels of better quality collagen. They are also a potent source of hydroxyproline, proline and glycine: the building blocks for new collagen and elastin fibres. These peptides may improve skin barrier function, resulting in enhanced skin moisture.

Clinically proven to smooth wrinkles, improve skin texture and boost skin hydration, firmness and elasticity. In just eight weeks collagen peptides have been shown to:
- Reduce eye wrinkle volume by up to 49%
- Increase skin elasticity by up to 40%
- Increase skin hydration by up to 28%
- Improve skin texture
- Increase skin thickness for resilience and plump appearance
- Increase quantity and activity of fibroblasts (the cells than make collagen and elastin)
- Decrease collagen degradation by up to 31%

The OPTY.NC Difference: Our high production standards ensure consistent delivery of low molecular weight marine collagen peptides. Low molecular weight particles are smaller in size and more easily absorbed across the digestive tract, ensuring optimal bioavailability and delivery to the areas of the body where it is active.

The effect of marine collagen peptides is dose-dependent – meaning the more you take, the better the outcome. The science says that 10,000 mg per day is the highest-tested and most effective serve, and that 10,000 mg per day is safe for long term consumption.

Origin: Sustainable grown Zespri gold kiwifruit from New Zealand

The Science: Increases populations of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii (F. prau) - an important ‘good bacteria’ that lives in the bowel. F. prau produces butyrate, a gut superfood with many benefits:

- Preferred fuel for the cells lining the gut
- Is anti-inflammatory and immune-signalling
- Improves the gut barrier function
- Reduces absorption of toxins
- Increases mineral absorption
- Reduces oxidative stress in the colon

As a result Livaux® has been shown in clinical trials to improve bowel function, quality of life scores and immune resistance to infection.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Owing to the higher levels of UV radiation in New Zealand, kiwifruit grown there produce higher levels of their “sunscreen” chemicals to protect themselves. These are the same phytonutrients that are active prebiotic and antioxidant compound in our potent GutRenew OptyBlend™.

Origin: Made in Australia from Australian ingredients.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Natural strawberry flavour and stevia plus raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit powders all low temperature dried to preserve nutrients. This blend gives an all-natural colour and flavour burst to our Ultimate 1.0 Elixir with added health benefits!

The fruit powders contains anthocyanins which are potent antioxidant phytonutrients typically blue or purple in colour, that protect
cells from free radical damage and oxidative stress associated with ageing.

Origin: Sprouted under controlled conditions in Poland to concentrate and activate vitamins.

The Science: B complex vitamins contribute to the structure and function of the skin, immune system, digestion, and metabolism of macronutrients and micronutrients. Deficiency of B vitamins is associated with a host of gut and skin conditions.

Our SkinFood OptiBlend™ contains 100 per cent of the RDI for biotin – “the beauty vitamin”. Biotin is a key component of amino acid and fatty acid metabolism – both essential for healthy skin, hair and nails.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Bioavailability of our natural B Vitamins has been shown to be up to 400 times greater than their synthetic counterparts.

Origin: Made in Australia

The Science: A source of betacarotene, pro-vitamin A, which is essential for maintaining the structure and function of the skin. Carotenoids accumulate in the dermis where they exert antioxidant and protective effects against UVA/UVB radiation. Vitamin A contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system, mucous membranes and cell differentiation, all essential functions for a healthy gut and skin.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Vegetable juice is low temperature dries by light refraction to preserve nutrients.

Origin: Made in Australia, to pharmaceutical standards, in a TGA-licensed facility.

The Science: Lycopene is a potent antioxidant that has been shown to reduce biomarkers of oxidative stress, reduce DNA oxidative damage, and protect against lipid oxidation in cells and tissues.

Lycopene is active in skin and clinical studies have shown that it may:
- Protect the skin and immune cells from UV damage and reduce erythema (skin redness) after exposure to UV light.
- Increase skin thickness by 15 per cent and increase skin density by 5 per cent.
- Increased resistance of lymphocytes and oxidative stress and a decrease in DNA damage caused by free radical damage.

The OPTY.NC Difference: Our proprietary BioBlend technology harnesses a patented Australian innovation clinically proven to improve the bioavailability of lipophilic compounds like lycopene.

Origin: One of the richest known sources of vitamin C we use wild crafted fruit from the Tibetan foothills.

The Science: Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant, providing the first line of defence from free radicals in cells. It is present in high concentrations in the skin, and it has been reported that older skin has lower concentrations. Studies have shown intakes of 100 mg per day increase free radical scavenging activity by 22 per cent. Skin fibroblasts have an absolute dependence on vitamin C for the synthesis of collagen, and for the regulation of the collagen/elastin balance in the dermis. Low levels of vitamin C in the dermis result in a decrease in collagen synthesis.

The OPTY.NC Difference:
Evidence suggests that synthetic vitamins have overall lower bioactivity and availability than their naturally occurring counterparts.
